This past weekend was busy.  I know…you are shocked, right??

On Saturday we went to an apple orchard to pick apples destined for a local food bank.  All told there were 20,000 lbs of apples picked, which was awesome.  The kids helped as best they could, but Anya gave up and just started eating apples after about 15 minutes.  She loves apples, so it was obviously hard for her to refrain when presented with such apple abundance.  Occassionally, she would pick an apple that she didn’t eat to put in my bag.  At least she participated. 😉

I took my camera with, but left it in the car.   When we were leaving, I remembered I had a camera.  Alas, no photos of the orchard and picking of the apples.

That evening we had dinner at one of our friend’s houses, which was yummy and the kids dressed up and played their Wii and then Kailan talked about the games the whole next day.  He really, really wants a Wii.

Halloween was a candy nirvana, of course.  Brian took the kids one neighborhood over to go see Anya’s Kindergarten teacher.  Then they went up and down that neighborhood and then came back and stopped at houses on the way.  After two hours they were wore out and ready to dive into their really full candy bags.

It was a bit hard to get up in the morning.
