These jeans have been sitting in my closet unworn for a bit.  They are still in good shape, even though they are several years old.  (Well, I didn’t fit in them for a few years, so they were unworn for that reason, too!)

I don’t usually wear them since they are so plain.  They aren’t “fancy” like some of my other jeans.  (“Fancy” is another word for overpriced designer denim with stuff on the pockets).  The fit isn’t as low as some of my other ones, too.  They aren’t quite “mom jeans” but the rise is higher than the norm these days.  Which is good sometimes.  There are days when  you need a bit more control over the tummy pooch, and these are good for those retaining water moments.

So…I decided to make them a little fancy.

Phase 1 – paint them:

Phase 2 – embroider them:

Phase 3 – wear them!

I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.  I think the design I did on the bottom looks a bit like a bug, but it’s a fancy bug, at least. 😉

I’m hoping to get back to blog hopping this week…so for being rude.  I’ve been trying to stay away from constantly being on the computer as my mouser hand has been being a literal pain.  Ah, getting older with all the aches and pains that go with it!
