After passing a dog park*…

Mommy:  Should we get a puppy?

Anya:  Yes, I like puppies.  Puppy don’t lick me, though.  (In case you didn’t know…she is afraid of dogs.  She’s getting better, though, and doesn’t freak out and shake uncontrollably everytime one comes within eyesight of her.  I’m totally not kididng, either.)

Kailan: I want a puppy, too.  A blue puppy!

Mommy (laughing):  I don’t think they come in blue, Kai.  They come in brown, tan, white, black…

Kailan:  I want a black puppy.  I want it to be quiet, so it doesn’t scare Sister.

Anya:  I don’t like puppy barking.

Mommy:  I’m not sure we can find a puppy that doesn’t bark.

Kailan (in earnest): We have to get a quiet puppy, Mommy.  I don’t want a loud one.  It has to be quiet.

Alrighty, then.  Anyone know where we can find a blue puppy, that doesn’t bark or lick?? 😉

* In case you live in a rural area and have never seen a dog park before, it is basically a fenced playground for dogs.  They get to go leash-less and frolic with other dogs.  We used to call that the country!  However, after our one dog, Sadie, came back after 3 days of fornication she was then tied up when we weren’t home.  Up to that point in time, I did not realize a litter of pups could have more than one daddy (doberman, golden retriever, and a lab we figured). 😉
