Me: Have you read a book yet??
Kailan: Awwwwwww!
He would much rather play.

Eventhough I would love to come home every day and read, playing is pretty fun too.
What’s left out of this story is that he has been reading the book in the first picture without any assistance. What he doesn’t realize at this point is that all the reading we make him do will help him play later.
My oldest loves to read but not my other two…. they would rather do almost anything than read.
I just might give up reading if I could play on a phone like that…LOL
Ha! I remember that book! It was in classrooms when I first started teaching. Unlike that phone.
