Melody has started a new blog where she is trying to get us to think creatively. I love a challenge, so this week I have a post for her topic of the week: Unwrapping the Mind
Now, I didn’t follow the rules exactly. I’m a rebel you know! She wanted us to get on the floor in a public place that we frequent to take a picture. Well…I decided to take a picture at work, and since there are pepe’s about I didn’t want to get on the floor. I usually wear skirts to work, too, so I wouldn’t want to be exposing the bad way, now would I? I did put my camera on the floor, and used my remote to take the picture. I was trying to be quick before someone caught me…I mean it was 5:30pm…I should have been slaving away at my keyboard, right??
Do a get a pass, Melody?? 😉
So, here is where I spend my days as a working stiff, in all it’s fluorescent lighting glory. It’s a bit of a self portrait…me, in my businesswoman garb. Of course you don’t see my gunmetal leather boots and my pale pink skirt that well…I only take that CPA thing so far, you see.
Also, since this was about thinking creativity, I did some fancy Photoshop processing:
I likey…so you get a pass. You were creative enough to get on the floor without getting.on.the.floor. 😉 Creativity is all about being a rebel.
I’m sitting here staring at the photo and trying to decide on the word that’s at the forefront of my brain to describe what I like about it. The perspective yes, and the processing rocks. I think art is suppose to speak to us and leave us with a feeing of wonder, isn’t it?
Also, you’ve left us wondering about the pink skirt and gunmetal leather boots. Thanks for playing. I knew you’d have a wonderful shot.
I like your perspective! It’s OK that you’re a rebel. I never would have thought to do something like that!
What a really cool shot! I think about all the predictable squares on the ceiling and the shelf, then you at an “un-conforming angle” splashing into the shot. It’s really great.
I love your shot, and your editing! It certainly gives me a different perpective on the CPA thing. I would love to see my CPA wearing a skirt with leather boots.
~Blessings
I LOVE the creativity of this shot! It is so intriguingly framed and your editing really entices imagination. Excellent post! I have to go back now and take another look : )

I love the shot. I think it was great idea to set the camera on the floor and get a shot of yourself! Smart thinking.
First thing I thought when the page loaded was “Sweet Shot!” Love the editing, very creative. Good idea.
