Every year we go to the festival, and we usually end up buying something expensive.  Not this year!  Our kids kept us much too busy to be wandering in and out of artisan’s shoppes trying to find that perfect work of art.  Plus, our sword master wasn’t there this year…so that saved us several pocket-fulls of cash.  The kiddos got their very own wooden sword and shield, so now they can thoroughly maim each other.  We are waiting on the ER visit for another split forehead.  Kai has had two visits and Anya only one, so I’m sure it is her turn.  They are all about whose turn it is at this age!

Our friends, Dean and Kris, have come with us for a few years so it has been a fun time just wandering all day and having a few glasses of wine or beer…and don’t forget the yummy food.

Here are some pictures for the family of our kiddos.  They are riding some exotic beasts of burden.  I’m sure they were the talk of daycare this week because of how incredibly COOL it was to ride camels and elephants and llamas.  No spitting occurred either, so we were ecstatic as you can imagine. 😉
