This week at wrapped emotions Melody wanted us to make a book to put all our creative projects in it. Great idea! I took a hard cover notebook I bought at Target and made a collage on the cover. It was fun, and it was something I really hadn’t done before…other than putting together scrapbook pages. They are a bit like a collage, too, I guess.
I used some of my bits and bobs from my vast assortment of scrapbooking items that I never seem to have enough time to use. I drew the picture on the cover and the “Creative” bit…I used to love to draw. I wanted to put some of my more artistic sketches on the cover, but I have no idea where they are at anymore. A long time ago, I would sit in classes at school and draw landscapes or design clothes and draw sketches of designs. That is another thing that there is never enough time to do anymore. I hope that this book and Melody’s assignment help me keep on track and keep that creative part of myself alive.
Here is my book with the first assignment that I did for it on the first page.
I.Absolutely.Love.This! It says “Stacy”.
I have never “met” you, but it clearly portrays the artistic, attention-to fine detail, the soulful, loving Stacy I’ve come to know through your photography, home decor and words.
You have kicked my rear into gear. Despite family tugs…I will complete mine tonight.
Again, thanks so much for sharing with us.
Here is to keeping the creative self alive! I love the colors in your cover collage. Well, I just love the cover, period!
That’s really great! You’re a talented artist. I like the colors too (rich earthy tones are my favorites)
Wow! That’s all I can think to say. It’s amazing!
I love your journal. You have such artistic talent. Wonderful.

Love it!!!
The journal looks great!!! Good job. I am a victim of the “no time to scrap” thing too.
Thank you all for the nice comments! It was fun!
