Sweet little girl
Little girls are made of sugar and spice, and everything nice. Then they turn into two year olds. Their episodes of nice diminish, to be replaced by tantrums and saying, “No”, as often as they dare. But still there are moments, when the nice re-emerges and the sweetness of their sugar is almost too much to bear. Such beautiful and complex little beings, are these sweet little girls.
Yes, yes, yes, and yes some more. Our favorite phrase right now is “Idon’twantthat.” And it’s said in about .006 seconds. That might be crackers or milk or help or ANYTHING. I never know if it’s something she really doesn’t want or if she just likes the reaction that phrase gets. Oh, but the snuggles…the snuggles are worth every single whine. Every single foot stomp. Every single “NO! MINE!”
“no, i dohnwannait” is our phrase. you captured it perfectly, stacy!
Oh yes! You have captured the essence of this age! Here it’s “no-no-no-no!” Or, “mama go way, NANA do it!” Your words are perfect, Stacy, and that’s the perfect image to go with it.
i love that photo!
I thought that might hit a common chord…thanks ladies! 😀
Oh my goodness! Your words are pure poetry and A’s photo is pure beauty. I have no daughter, but it’s clear how precisely you know and capture yours. 🙂 Amazing.
