I find these brain teaser exercises pretty interesting. I saw this on another blog and it tests whether you are right or left-brain dominant.
I am right-brain dominant, which is the creative side. No question. This is something I always find pretty curious because I also am a CPA. However, as I get older, I do find that my right brain has been taking over more and more. I am less task orientated and less focused. I let things go more. I don’t necessarily like that I can’t seem to get things done like I used to. I guess I am becoming one of those scatter-brained creative people! 😉
So, what do you see?
Okay, I must be totally stupid. (I am right brained, also, but there has never been any question about that at all) The dancer site says if you concentrate, you can see the dancer turn in the opposite direction. Not me.
I am left-brained dominant, which surprises me. I always thought myself a creative type (photography, scrapbooking, home decorating) even if it’s not all that I am. And I tried and tried and tried to focus to make her turn the other way, but she just kept on spinning counter-clockwise. *sigh*
Ditto what Alissa said! I fancy myself the creative right-brained type, but I see that dancer turning counterclockwise and I cannot force myself to see anything different. Interesting!
LOL, I tried and tried to see it go counter-clockwise and I couldn’t understand how it could!
Wow. That’s crazy. I saw it clockwise. Stared at it for like 3 mins to “make” it go counter-clockwise and it’s not happening. Showed my husband…counter-clockwise. Not that I’m surprised, but how.does.he.see.that? 🙂
OKAY..we had a little experiment here. I am totally right-brained, as is my m-i-l who is here visiting. My husband and his identical, mirror-image twin are both here also. Not surprisingly they were different – but not at all what I would have guessed. My hubby was right-brained (he is an engineer!) and his brother was left-brained (totally language/arts guy!). VERY fun experiment. Thanks, Stacy!
Glad it was fun…and I don’t understand how it spins counter-clockwise either. 😉
What does it mean if you can see it both ways? Originally I saw her clockwise and tried to see her counter-clockwise with no luck. Then I looked away and concentrated on counter-clockwise, looked back and she was spinning counter-clockwise. I looked away again and concentrated on clockwise, and viola, she was spinning clockwise. I guess this probably means my brain is just messed up 🙂
Susie, I think both your right and left are equally strong then…not messed up! 😉
I tried, tried, tried, but no matter how I looked at her…it was clockwise. I’ve always known only one side of my brain was functional. And now you’ve confirmed my belief it’s the right….I’m good with it. 🙂
