Last night we went out to eat for dinner for the first time in awhile with the kids.  This is never a very fun experience when you have a one year old.  Kai is pretty good.  He will eat the appetizer and play with the crayons.  Anya eats the crayons.  She doesn’t want to sit still.  She wants to drink my beer.  She wants to take the knife off the table and poke her eyes out.  Fun, fun, fun.

We did have one funny moment, though.  Anya was wriggling and upset, all crying and everything.  Her food comes and she spies the Mandarin Oranges (Thank you Friday’s for having them on the menu!).  Instantly her attention is focused solely on those oranges and I gave her one to pacify her while I put her in her highchair.  As soon as she could, she was two-fisting and putting them in her mouth as fast as possible!  I’m not sure she really tasted any of them.

A dog would be proud, to see how fast she could swallow those oranges.
