This past weekend was pretty full.  On Saturday, I drove 2 hours to my hometown for a baby shower, while Brian took the kids to a BBQ in honor of our friends.  Our friends from Cincinnatti were making a pit-stop here on their way to relocating to Seattle.

On Sunday we went to the beach with our friends and two other families.  There were a total of 9 kids, so they were having a blast playing together.  We grilled brats and hot dogs and had some smores later.   It was completely hazy and a bit cool to start off, but the kids didn’t mind.  The lake was still pretty darn cold, since it really hasn’t warmed up here much at all.

We left the lake around 3-pm to get the kids home and showered.  They were little sand monsters.  They retired to the couch to watch cartoons, Brian played his video game and I did 3 miles on the elliptical.  Then the sitter came at 6pm, we picked up our friends and we went downtown for dinner.  I think it was a pretty good Father’s Day full of family, friends and fun. 🙂

I did another picture for Brian for Father’s Day, and had the kids sign it with their names.  He can put it up in his office.

This all basically meant I got nothing accomplished on the sewing front…though I did get almost 17 miles in on the elliptical last week.  Now if I could only lose weight instead of gaining it…
