This is a dish, whereby just reading the recipe you will add 5 lbs to your hips…it’s that good. I only really make this over the holidays or for special dinners…or for poker night at our house this week. The menfolks thoroughly enjoyed it!
Recipe:
2 packages hashbrown potatoes (or one big bag)
1 stick melted butter
1 cup chopped onions
2 cans cream of chicken soup
8 0z shredded chedder cheese
1 tsp salt
1 pint sour cream.
Mix all ingredients together. Bake 1 1/2-2 hours at 375 degrees. The best option is just to stick it in a crockpot and let it go all day, stirring every few hours. This just seems to take a bit to bake, so the longer you can have it in the oven, the better.
I have yet to find a person that didn’t love this dish. Enjoy!
We make these all the time…such a good recipe!
my mother-in-law is famous in her parts for this recipe. it is so. good!
