Well, Santa was good to us, yet again.  The kids were loaded up on various toys (they loved) and clothes (meh…they weren’t too excited about much except the FOOTIES).  Our kids favor their footies pretty strongly.  In fact, they wore them the majority of the time we were home on vacation with them.  Of course, we wore our comfies all day long, too. Ah, how we love lazy days!

We all received many nice gifts from friends and family, but most of all had a wonderful time seeing everyone over the holidays.  That is the best gift of Christmas.

As for myself, I must have been a good girl.  I got a new Janome serger sewing machine and a Jill E camera bag in bone. *SQUEEEEE* 😀  I haven’t gotten the serger out of the box yet, as I mentioned yesterday, but I have all my camera stuff in my new bag.  I got the small bag and it is definitely big enough for me.  I can even fit one more lens in it.  Good thing I ordered a new lens today!  I finally got almost enough points on our credit card to get the 85mm 1.8 lens.  I have been about 1,000 points shy for a few months, so I just bit the bullet and paid the extra $9 to get the lens.  I can’t wait to get it!

We are now back to back to work and the kiddos back to daycare.  *Sigh*  The time goes by far too quickly.  Yesterday we took down the tree and got ready for the dog days of winter.  The house seems so bare without the lively Christmas trees and lights.  It hardly seems like it has been up and I had to take it down.  That’s a lot of work, you know!

It’s been a fun, albeit busy and tiring, few weeks.  I’m actually looking forward to some down time at home…however, I am a CPA and it will be BUSY at work.  No rest for the wicked!  I’m sure there may be some scattered posting due to that plethora of work and less internet time in my future. Of course, I am a persistent blogger, even when I don’t have time.  😉
