I found this tutorial on Pinterest, and thought it would be great to put things in it for car trips for the kids. One in boy colors and one in girl.
On a side note, I thought it was pretty funny when she was talking about only having a six pack carrier in the house because their takeout miso soup came in it.
Not a problem here.
Onto the cute carriers…
Mine aren’t quite as neat and tidy looking as the tutorial, but they look pretty decent. Be warned…this isn’t a quick half hour project. It took me several hours between the cutting (I think I used 4 scrapbook sheets per container) and allowing the Modge Podge to dry. I did three coats on the outside and then used the adhesive spray for the interior compartments. I also cut one of the compartments off, so it’s a 5-pack now. It allows for bigger stuff, like small notepads.
Your fingers will be quite sticky when you are done. Make sure you put something protective down on your surface before using the Modge Podge or the spray. It’s messy.
I rather like them, though. They aren’t perfect, but I’m fairly certain the kids won’t mind.
Kailan wants me to draw a dragon or a sword on his. I told him to go find some stickers and go for it.
It was nice looking for a few minutes anyways. 😉
Yeah, we would not have a problem finding a six pack carrier at our house. I love the way they turned out. It will be nice for them to have a place to put all of their things.
