A lot of the goulash recipes I see online don’t seem to have smoked paprika in them, which seems to separate this from a spagetti sauce. Basically, this is a spagetti sauce with smoked paprika in it. Add a little cheese on top afterwards, of course. 🙂

Recipe:

1.5 lbs ground beef
2 red peppers, chopped (could use a mix of green and red, too)
1 onion, minced
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 TBSP smoked paprika
1 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp pepper
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 TBSP honey
1 package penne pasta

Brown the hamburger, and start the water to boil. After hamburger is browned, add in the peppers, onions, garlic and mushrooms. Get them all cooked up and softened. Add in the seasonings, crushed tomatoes and honey. Simmer. When the pasta water is ready, add in the pasta. When the pasta is al dente, put in with the hamburger mixture and simmer together for another 10 minutes. Serve with some cheese on top.
