I made some goals last year, and for the most part, kept them.
Last year was full of good stuff. My best memories?
This year I hope for more wonderful memories.
These are my goals this year:
Mental:
This year I would also like to be less stressed.
To that end…I bought a watch. I have noticed that I tend to lose track of time fairly often lately, and that will help me not feel like I am constantly rushing from one thing to another.
Health:
Another thing for the stress level would be to do my menu planning again. Healthier menu planning is my goal. The holidays were loaded with unhealthy food and wine. And the scale on January 1st was a direct result of said indulgences. Back at the fitness program and better eating. I want to lose a good 5 lbs that snuck back up on me this past year.
Creative:
I am going to try to do a photo project where I take a daily picture of something for which I am grateful. I’m not sure if I’m going to post them all, but maybe I will do a book. This is partly for Mental, too. I think getting some perspective is a good thing, and this will help to that end.
Financial:
We are planning on making a few trips this year, so outside of those…we need to keep our spending in check. This generally proves to be a challenge for us, since I like clothes and Brian likes wine (well, I do drink it, too). In a few weeks I will be able to wipe our credit card balance back down to $0, and I want to keep it that way on a monthly basis with paying it off each month. The kids will still need shoes, but I have so much fabric in the closet that can be used for clothes for them. I need to use it up, since it is a sunk cost.
Well, that is my plan for the year.
Sounds like some good goals to me. I HAVE to menu plan this year. I really do think it is key to eating healthy, especially when we are running in different directions. Prepping some meals on Sunday helps too, but it is so hard to always committ to that.
all very good goals, i think! i love your grateful/photo/creative goal. and i really like the book idea.
