First World Problem – My freezer was so full of food that I had a hard time finding the arugula pesto I made from my CSA greens during the summer.  I am very grateful that we have a freezer FULL of food to make tasty meals for our family.

I am grateful that our little girl loves to read in bed at night…I just wish she would go to sleep earlier.  She never gets enough sleep, but at least she is reading at a level where she should be at for the end of SECOND grade.

I am grateful for involved teachers and daddy’s.  Kai’s teacher called to tell us that he needs more help in reading his books, so when I got home from work on Wednesday night, Brian was helping Kai read a book that he had bought for him.

I am grateful that I am mobile, and that we have an exercise room in our house.  This is an extravagance that many people do not have access to in their homes.  It allows us to have more time at home and fit exercise into our schedule better.  It also allows us to be role models to our kids, showing them how to be healthy.

I am grateful that we got to help my sister celebrate turning 40…though she didn’t want to have a celebration.   Mom and Dad got their way, though, and we all met for a few (several!) hours in the late afternoon on Saturday at the local watering hole.  She did have a pretty good time, too. 🙂  Perspective is a good thing to keep as you get older, which reminds me of this quote I found on Pinterest:

“Do not regret growing older.  It is a privilege denied to many.”

I am grateful for little toys that keep little hands busy.
