Well, it’s crafty Tuesday again…yet again no scrapbooking or sewing. I haven’t the energy, it seems. I’m hoping to get some soon. Instead, I will show you something that I created with my camera.
Our niece, Heather, wanted some modeling shots and our niece, Sarah, wanted some shots in her Hockey equipment. I took these in our family room in front of the big french doors (moved some furniture out of the way). I have a portable backdrop stand and some black fleece. I had to create part of the backgrounds in PS since it was only 60″ wide at the most, I believe. These are ones I didn’t use the flash, and I like the shadows on them better.

The Hockey Girl
The differences in them make me laugh–what great shots of each! They must be very pleased–and happy to see themselves here, too!
What a contrast between the two looks, love the pictures.
Excellent! That’s some great lighting!
beautiful photos!
Don’t really understand the lighting issue, but I certainly admire the results!
Cheers
Awesome! Look at that serious hockey girl!
Great shots Stacy. You would never know these were taken in your living room!
Awesome shots – totally look like studio shots (well, actually better!) –
that is a great Crafty Tuesday!
Beautiful shots – and I agree, the differences between the two definitely make me laugh…although the same could be noted of me and my sisters!
Those are great ! I love the black background !!
Very NICE!
Did you use any other lighting, just natural, or did you bounce the flash. It looks like the main source of light is off to the left a bit – I love that look.
good job!
Thanks everyone!
Beth, it was just natural light, they stood to the side of a big north facing window. I did use my flash as well, but my favorites are the ones like above, where it is all natural light.
Beautiful light! Great idea using the black fleece!
She can do candid AND posed! Wow, these are seriously gorgerous Stacy. Love the dramatic lighting
