How to be self-indulgent.
Ahem.
Proclaim to yourself that you will watch your spending after getting an excessively high tax bill that is going to suck the life out of your cash reserves. Gah!
Then go to a homestore, that you know you will love just about every unique piece of the bits and bobs and shelves and vases and artwork and furniture and rugs and…well, I digress. In doing so, you are exceeding silly and still think you can get out of there just buying what you came to the store to buy.
Then you walk by this…THIS!!
And you walk by it again. Then the little hamsters starting turning those wheels in your head and their squeaky little voices whisper to you softly…buy it, buy it, it’s child sized and you need it for all those adorable little outfits you post on your blog, especially since it’s only about an inch taller than Anya…
And those little hamsters speak the truth…listen to the little hamsters. 😉
Eventually someday I hope to have a sewing studio similar to this beautiful studio…my little pink manequin will go absolutely perfect in there don’t you think? $34 well spent, if you ask me…and the hamsters. 🙂
I LOVE IT Stacy!
I’ve been itching to go into one of my fav homestores for awhile now but it’s because of a need to save $$ and my lack of self-control that I’ve stayed away. Thanks to your post my personal hampsters are squeaking softly in my bean telling me it’s time to visit my store. 🙂
I would have bought it too! I have one that’s not so decorative but I still think it’s cute. Nice find.
ooh it is nice. those hamsters sure are smart…
It’s beautiful. And unique, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. What a find!
oooh, it’s so pretty! Love all the vines wrapped around. You totally deserved it!
I love it !!! I would have bought it too and I can’t sew to save my life !! I love it just as a decoration !!!
That’s adorable!
That is really cute! $34 isn’t bad for that, either!!
I love that, what wonderful pictures you can take with that. I love Heather Bailey’s studio. If I ever win the lottery!
Cute! And $34 seems like a great bargain to me!
This is so cute! A must-have, for sure!
I’m glad you ladies agree with me LOL! Brian didn’t say anything, but he had that “look” in his eyes. 😉
Wow, that’s just beautiful!
ooooh! very nice! great find!!!
What a lovely form. Great find, the hamsters were right on to encourage you to take this one home. 🙂 I think your designs definitely require your own studio, it’s coming you wait and see.
I love it – great purchase 😉
I like Heather Bailey’s blog too!!! I should post pictures of my sewing studio just to give everyone a really really GOOD laugh. A beautiful decorative manquin would just NOT fit in here – FIT as in two ways ;).
It’s got your name written all over it – you HAD to buy it! So cute and useful, too.
oh those hamsters are so, so smart! it is beautiful!! what an amazingly useful and gorgeous addition to your house or someday studio!
*feeling your pain with the tax bill, too…blah.*
That’s a great deal on such a stunning piece. I’d probably have spent twice what you paid for it. Excellent purchase. So in a way, you could say you saved money by buying, because it’s certainly worth alot more. I do that when I purchase an item on sale, “Look honey, I saved you $xx.xx. It was on sale!”

What’s $34.00 compared to the pleasure you’ll get out of that. I feel your pain on the tax bill. See one of my recent posts >:-( grrrrr
