So, this weekend is supposed to quite warm.  Not quite as warm as Hell, but close.  I’m sure that when you add in the humidity factor, the heat index will be approaching at least the first level of Hell.

We have a playdate at one of our friend’s homes on Saturday and they have a pool, so we will be introducing Anya and Kailan to that new experience.  With the temperature in the 100’s, it should be equivalent to bath water so I’m sure they will like it.  Meanwhile we will be slathering on the sunscreen and having our sweating bottles of water in close proximity.  I’m sure once we go inside to our wonderfully cool homes, it will feel like we just walked into a freezer since the temperature difference will probably be 50 degrees.

That is until the brown out occurs.  We live in an unstable grid, so I’m sure that is something we can look forward to this weekend.  Then we can sweat like we did when we were youngsters.  Before we learned about the glories of air conditioning!

That will be just another thing on our list to show the kids how lucky they are and how “tough” we had it growing up.

“When I was a kid, I didn’t have my own cell phone, cable TV, a computer, or AIR CONDITIONING!”

“What???  How did you survive???”

“Oh, it was tough, children….”
