We went out again on Sunday…Daddy and Kailan joined us. We walked all the way around the marsh, as in no wagon. It took us 1.5 hours to walk all the way around and by the time we got to the mid-point we got a, “I have to go potty!” and a “I want to rest – I don’t want to walk anymore.” They did really well, and I know I was pretty dang tired by the time we got home.
We saw lots of geese along the path. We had to make sure the kids didn’t run up to them and pet them. Yeah, that wouldn’t have turned out well. We got pretty close to most of them before they went onto the frozen lake. We only really saw them on the unpaved side that was a bit muddy and riddled with geese poo. I got some good pictures of them, though, so it was all worth it!
Lots of mud to dig into.
Lots of geese walking on the lake say, “What the heck! Where’s the water???”
We saw remnants of damage from the storms last fall. Poor trees.
I really love this shot.
Taking a rest at the midpoint…
These ducks totally scored…they found a patch of water!
I am so glad that we can get outside now!
edited to add: …and it’s snowing right now. We are supposed to get 6-8 inches. I. AM. SO. OVER. THIS. SNOW!
I definately like the flying geese shot! 🙂
Lovely photos! And I know what you mean about being tired of the snow! The sunny days seem to be teasing us by making an appearance and then hiding for a while.
I can’t believe you are getting snow again. We’ve had so many peeks at 70 degree days I’m craving spring in a big way and just want to be outside. I guess we are getting the rain that is bringing you snow. It’s in the 50s today.

Oh my gosh…I know, the weather is driving me nuts! I am so ready for spring. We get a decent day and then 3 more days of cold. We didn’t get much snow in January and February, so I guess we are making up for it in March. 🙁
These are beautiful Stacy. And I share your pain. We have both a flood warning and snow advisory in effect. 🙁
More snow? Ouch!
Great shots – there is something so great about the first chance to actually walk around…
Hopefully the snow melts fast!
LOVE the geese flying shot! Great timing!
Well, it’s finally warmed up here, so no more cold or snow for us, but now it’s storm/tornado season.
Tornado season is scary.
love that shot of the goose flying over the water…nice capture!
Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I hope we all get nice weather soon. 😀
Alissa, that is one thing that I hate about summer…tornados/wind shears. Last Fall I had more than enough of bad weather.
It’s so surreal to see snow now when we’re already turning on the a/c, dressing in tank tops, nearing triple digits. Wow.
Such gorgeous pictures. I love the first one which makes your guys look soooo tiny, and I love the geese in flight!
Love the flying geese !!! Glad to see you taking advantage of the good walking days. I can’t believe it is snowing AGAIN !!!
Oh goodness girl – it was 70’s here today! I wish I could send it to you, but then again I dont want your snow! It’s pretty though! 🙂 We did not really have much snow this year, Z keep asking when he’s gonna get to go sleding!
It amazes me that you guys are still in heavy coats! Sending warm weather wishes your way.
