Last night we went on a neighborhood walk and went to play at Jack and Lydia’s house. When we got there, our neighbor had a big pile of rock on their driveway. They were taking out the rock from their landscaping in the back and replacing it with mulch.
She asked, joking, if we wanted it, and I looked at Brian and pretty much thought “YEAH!”
The landscaper was going to just dump it the next day, so I am so glad we went there last night. The rock matches the brick in our house and it’s free. Can’t get much better than free! We were going to wait on the rock for the front yard, so I’m really excited to get yet another landscaping project done. Now we only have a few thousand left. Whoo Hoo!
When we went to play with the neighbor kids, Kai brought along his water gun, which he never shoots. He just likes to hold it. Other kids don’t seem to have that problem, though. The kids got a big kick out of while Kailan checked out all of their toys. We turned on the water to refill the water gun and their hose leaked, which ended up having a little mini sprinker. Anya loved it! She would walk through it, and just laugh. So cute!
By the time we left she was soaking wet. Not a huge surprise, there!
