After basking in nature’s brilliance of Muir Woods, we headed to San Fran. I had made reservations at The Palace Hotel, which I had stayed at previously for a few conferences. It’s a beautiful and very picturesque hotel downtown, and it had a well reviewed sushi restaurant. It was supposed to be expensive but good, which is pretty much all sushi when you live in the Midwest. We don’t know any different. 😉
Just north of the city coming out of the Muir Woods.
The Golden Gate Bridge
Alcatraz…one of these times I may even make it on a tour there.
Sushi eater
The sushi he was eating…it has gold leaf on it. We were livin’ it up on our 10th anniversary…eating gold!
Mmmmm, I want sushi. Hope you two had a fantastic anniversary. I’ve never seen gold leaf on sushi.
Oh sushi…now I want some!
Gorgeous photos – it looks like you had a wonderful trip!
So, does gold have a flavor? It seems like it would not taste very good. Of course, I wouldn’t touch sushi with a ten foot pole, anyway 🙂
Gorgeous! The 1st picture makes me think of the woods of Lord of the Rings. 🙂
One should always eat gold on their anniversary!! 🙂 Looks SO yummy!
What’s going on, all the pictures are super pixilated on my screen???? Anyhow, sounds like a geat last day to your vacation. I’m not sure I’d be game for gold-plated sushi, tho, I’m not a seafood person and especially not raw. LOL
Yeah sushi! Best on the west coast I swear. 🙂
Hey, the pictures are pixalated for me too. Is that happening to you or maybe it’s the browser.
What the heck…they looked fine before! Sorry guys, maybe they will show up decent in a bit. They are hosted on Shutterfly, so they must be having issues.
