The problem with raising children when you yourself are a clothes horse, is that they become them, as well.
I ran across a sweet deal on a new spring coat for the princess. It was only $9 at Old Navy in the clearance section, so I figured, what the heck! She did have a hand me down coat from her brother, but I figured she needed a pink one since it was such a good deal. Plus, she looks exceedingly cute in it.
The problem arises when her brother thinks that he also needs a new coat since his sister got a new coat. What is wrong with this one??
Nothing, I tell you! He’s stylin’ in his little bomber jacket, which incidentally also FITS. We were regaled with a temper tantrum of magnificent proportions on Thursday morning because HE WANTED A NEW COAT.
*sigh* I have created a monster.
Life is so unfair, I want a new coat!
Get over it, Dude. Count yourself lucky, she’ll just want to take more pictures of you if you get a new coat.
That coat is adorable!
And, I love the look on Kai’s face in that last shot. He looks so grown up there!
9 cents? That’s a bargain beyond bargains.
Cute! I’m not a clothes horder but I find when you have kids (especially girls) that it is easy to become one! LOL
Oh my that is so funny – and so true! Especially hard with 2 girls – Addie doesn’t need a thing! But I still feel the need to shop for her when I’m shopping for Emma.
And that coat is PERFECT! I would have bought it even if we didn’t need one (in 2 sizes!)
You scored! and it looks great on her!
I LOVE the new pink coat. I want one too!!! Now!!! I mean like go back and get me one too!! Life is so unfair. Why do other people get things when I don’t???
(temper tantrum enough???)

I love the second picture in black in white. Beautiful shot.
No wonder Kai was jealous – I’d be jealous of that coat too! Man, that’s an awesome jacket. Hmmm, I might have to go check out the Old Navy clearance section here…
Ahhh one of life’s lessons learned (you hope). Just because your sister gets something doesn’t mean that you get one too. man that lessons sucks – especially when you’re four (four, right?)
That coat is fabulous and pink so works for her. I want one, too. I’ll whine with Kai. 😉
oh my gosh. That coat is SO cute!!! SO CUTE! Did they have any in adult sizes? lol
Excellent point Miss Anya. And you do look sensational in your coat..
I want a coat like that!
