Last week was a very busy week.  While we had some good times, I am a bit glad that it is over so I can get some more sleep!

I am grateful this week for friends and family and spending time with both.  While it was a very busy week, we made some good memories. 🙂

Apart from the weekday shenanigans, we had a few fun things on the weekend.

On Friday night, we booked rooms along with two other families for a local waterpark.  Brian’s company owns it, so we got a really good deal on the rooms and the tickets into the park were free.  We saved loads of money due to his employment.

We picked the kids up from school and then got over there.  The traffic was the normal Friday night traffic…horrendous.  When we all finally got checked into the rooms and changed, we spent about an hour or so in the park.  Anya DID NOT want to get in the water.  She had scraped her leg up earlier in the day and it was stinging from the chlorine.  Luckily, Kai got to go on some big slides and have fun.

Then we fed the kids from the kid food offerings (pizza’s and hotdogs, of course!) around dinnertime.  We all went back to our rooms, changed and pick up some steaks from a close by restaurant.  The kids proceeded to play in the room while we all sat out on the largest balcony, ate our steaks and drank wine into the wee hours.  The next morning, we played a bit more (Anya actually got in the water this time) and then we had to check out by 11 am.

Then, later that same day, Kai had his First Holy Eucharist.  The family started rolling in around 3:30, and we got over to the church for the Saturday evening Mass.  All went well, and Kai can now officially participate in the Eucharist at Mass.

I had dinner ready to eat when we got back to the house (baked ham, cheesy baked potatoes, a cobb salad and CAKE).  It was a lovely evening with our families.
