On Saturday our kids had their first pool adventure.  It was in the 90’s with a bit of a wind, and a great day for the pool.

Anya was all ready to dive in.  We got into the water right away and I was holding her upper body while her little legs were just a kicking away.  She was smiling the whole time and just loved it.  She takes after her mother, since she was just a little fish.

We had a bit of a scare when she accidentally fell in the pool while I was helping Kai but she got pulled out right away.  After a few minutes she was ready to go again.  I don’t think I have the nerves to have a pool in our backyard just yet.  The one and only thing Anya seems to be afraid of is animals.  She ready to take on the world with everything else it seems.

Kai was just like his Dad; not too sure about the water.  Once daddy got in the pool he timidly went in.  Most of the time he sat on the floating mat or in the baby float, which was not really something made to fit a 2-year old.  Hey, it worked for him!  He had a good time, too, though.  It just took a bit for him to get used to the water.

Hopefully they will invite us over again; I know I enjoyed it!
