I am a little bit behind…

The last few weeks have been a bit of a blur.  It was Anya’s birthday, coupled by plenty of kids’ activities, dinner with friends, last minute sewing late into the night and then I went to Vegas for 5 days with my girlfriends.  Then I got sick on the plane home, which always throws a wrench into your life.

I didn’t get many pictures taken these past few weeks due to being too busy, and I am slllooooowwwwwly going throuugh the ones I did…

We are grateful that our families made it over to celebrate Anya’s birthday.  My Grandma Jo even made it over, which is a rarity these days as she likes to stay close to home.  We had a wonderful afternoon with everyone.

We finally got some time to get some landscaping done.  The weeds are threatening to take over, so we had to put in some quality weed pulling time.  We got most areas under control, though not entirely de-weeded.  There are many blooming flowers right now, which is so wonderful to see.

We sat out on our deck on Mother’s Day with some friends and just enjoyed the sound of the fountain and our nice backyard.  We were very grateful for quality time with friends and a lovely spring day.

I got some pretty special handmade gifts from the kids, too.
