Vegas is always interesting.

Bar at the 51st floor of the Rio, overlooking the strip.

You have plenty of people watching and there is always something to do.  We slept in, spent the morning and early afternoon at the pool, went back to our rooms and relaxed and then got ready for the evenings festivities.

Me and the girls in the Bellagio

We saw KA by Cirque du Soleil and Phantom of the Opera.  We stayed out late most nights, though I usually turned in earlier than some of the others. I didn’t really drink that much, since bars don’t have good wine or good beer, really.  Yes, I am a booze snob. 😉

Vegas is it’s own ecosystem…it is outside the ordinary.  People go there to see shows and pretty much…party.  It is fun to see people dressed up and ready to take on the town.  Dressing up seems to have gone the way of the Dodo these days, so it was fun seeing men in suits, or at least nice shirts and slacks, and the ladies…well, lots of short dresses and heels.  But dressy short skirts and tall heels!  Our group of ladies were no exception.  We dressed up each night, which was fun, and danced until our feet hurt.  We had a few stories to take back, too.

But…I am glad to be home.  Home is really, really good.

*I took the pictures with my phone…I didn’t want to drag along my big camera.
