Don’t you just love spring? (Yes, I know it has been spring for much of the country for at least a month now, but we are just getting it. We have spring fever like you would not believe!) We have graduated from jackets to sweatshirts, as we have not even had one 80 degree day yet – it’s in the 60’s this week still. Although we are having copious amounts of dirt and mud tracked into the house, just getting outside with the fresh air and exploring feels so darn good.
After Anya’s birthday party on Saturday, Kailan actually wanted to go outside. This was quite shocking to me since he would usually rather become one with the couch and watch cartoons. We went outside and Kai explored while I took some photos of our yard coming alive, finally. My little man had to show me all the “treasures” he found and I made sure to document them for him. He was much pleased.
Taking a rest – getting fresh air is a lot of work!
These usually bloom in mid-April.
Anyone need some chives?? (note to self: pluck off the flowers this year before they seed EVERYWHERE)
So nice to see spring isn’t it??? I love the treasure found by your son. Our daughter collected rocks last night while we were cooking hamburgers. All kids just seem fascinated with rocks don’t they? I wonder why…..

I love spring! It is so needed after such a awful long winter. Things are waking up around here, too. Slowly but surely!
Spring is certainly my favorite time of the year! I can even look past the rain and wind. It’s so nice to see buds of green and warmer days. 🙂
I’m glad spring is slowly arriving for you now. 🙂
We just had a huge thunderstorm move through last night leaving us with moisture for the first time in months. So it’s a little cooler today then yesterday.
yeah for spring! i’m glad it has finally hit for you…
Yay spring! Before you know it it’ll be sunny and toasty and you can play in the sprinkler 🙂
Oh, God. You know I’m totally with you, but you know that.
I could totally use some chives… I had some in a pot last year, but even though I brought them in over the winter, they didn’t make it. I’m not so good with plants in the house. oops
Love those little spring buds and Kai’s rosey cheeks !
I am glad everyone is enjoying their spring, too. 🙂
Ummm…Bonnie, that is his Fifth’s Disease rash. 😉 Rosy indeed! They look much better now.
Yay, I’m glad spring has made it’s way to you!! And it’s even getting couch potato off the couch – impressive. ;)Love the “treasure” he found. Sure, I’ll take chives! I don’t recognize those little pink flowers, but they are beautiful.
Yes I love spring!!! I just would like it to stay!!! I need to learn how to grow some more stuff! Is there anything you can’t do girl? 🙂
