Our poor fish. They are being ignored and just getting colder by the minute. Now it is no where near freezing solid, but the pond will definitely achieve that during the winter. The fish need a new home. We have contemplated bringing them inside, which would require us to buy all that fish tank stuff. We are NOT going to heat the pond over the winter, since it would be at least $200/month for that. There is a small lake a few doors down that could take them. We need to figure this out soonish…
No wonder we’re out of fish food again!
Oh come on Brian–they need to eat extra food to keep up their body temperatures 🙂 You know, like horses-lol.
with you Mad skilzs in the kitchen I am sure that you can come up with some sort of recipe???????

Oh….:-(…..this is really sad! Perhaps restock with more resilient fish next year??? Are there a breed that grow fur in the winter? Those pics are so atmospheric btw. Looks like it’s full on winter there now.
