This week we had more adventures.  I am grateful that we can have these fun times with the kids.  This year we have been really trying to get out and do more things.  It is very easy for us to just stay home and relax, as we are inherently homebodies.  It has been fun to get the kids out and do new things with them.

It was Kai’s last baseball game of the season.  The team went out for DQ (an ice cream place here) afterwards and we all had our dessert before our lunch.  Just like summer should be, right?

Then we went home and Kai changed out of his baseball uniform.  We were headed for the horse races!  Brian got a Groupon from them and we needed to get it used up.  It handled admission and programs, and it was the first time any of us had been there.  We had a great time!  It was definitely warm out, but we sat in the stands on the shaded side and placed our bets on the horses.  The kids each got to choose a horse and then one of us would choose.  Out of the 10 races, we won 6.  Pretty good!  We spent all afternoon there and got some pizza for dinner on the way home.  It was bedtime by the time we got home and a very full day.

The next day we went to the beach, but since I am a compulsive memory card formatter…I accidentally wiped the card before I could get the pictures off of it.  Again.  You would think I would check first, right?  Ugh!
