Reasons I hate flying and going out of town for business conferences:

    1. Being away from my family.
    2. The extra hour on the tarmac in the plane and the cramped quarters.
    3. The annoying older male that always sits in front of me and thinks he is sitting in a Lazy Boy.  “Hello, @sshole…This isn’t your livingroom or a middle of the night flight, move your d@mn seat up!  I don’t like looking at the top of your balding head in my lap”.
    4. Being away from my family.
    5. Getting taxis and paying a small fortune to get to your hotel.  You also never know if they are taking you on the shortest route if you don’t know the city.  I did not have one of those this time, though…I am still picking the bugs out of my teeth since he was going SO FAST.
    6. Being away from my family.
    7. Sitting in a 60 degree conference room when it is 90 degrees outside.  Apparently they want to make sure we stay awake.  It just makes me concentrate on the different colors of blue my fingers and toes are turning during the day as I start to lose feeling from the cold.
    8. Trying to fall asleep at night with no white noise.  I need my white noise.  Of course if the bed has down pillows and stuff it is an opportunity for me to bask in it without having a stuffed up husband snoring away as he slowly starts suffocationg from the allergic reaction.
    9. Trying to remember to leave money on the pillow for the sorely underpaid domestic staff so they don’t steal my pretty earrings.
    10. Being away from my family.

When I get home I’m giving lots of hugs and kisses!  My daughter may actually get kissed TOO MUCH, and it takes a lot for her to not want to give and get kisses.  Kailan on the other hand has told me “No kiss, mommy!” before.  That cuts…that cuts deep.
