There are some days when Kailan’s toddler tendencies are overridden by his inherent sweetness.
Earlier this week we were sitting at dinner and Anya finished dinner early as usual, and threw a fit when we didn’t clean her up right away and let her go…as usual. When we let her go she wandered around a bit and came up to Kailan who was working on his yogurt. She wanted some…she was giving him her “I want your yogurt” eyes.
She finally walked away when the eyes weren’t working, and then Kai decided to give in and give her some yogurt. “Sister..yogurt!”, Kai called.
Anya walked into the room, he gave her a spoonful of yogurt, and then she walked back towards the library. He called to her again…she walked back…ate the yogurt…walked towards the library. This went on for about 5 minutes or so. Sometimes Kai would laugh and hold it a foot above her head so we had to help him out with getting the spoon into her mouth. Overall they did pretty good. Finally, Anya was done and wasn’t coming when Kai called.
He made one last call to her, “Sister, I wuv you!”
Can I get a big AWWWWWW??
That same night, when they were taking a bath together he gave her a couple of hugs, too.
Our sweet little boy.
