We had a strong storm blow through the metro yesterday. It was around noon and was dark as night outside. The kids told us later that they were “hiding” from the storm. They were in the storm shelter. I was at work on the 5th floor watching it roll in. At one point it was raining so fast and furious that we couldn’t see the trees just outside the window. I was a little worried. Just a teensy bit. I got out of my office and went into our kitchen away from the windows.
We went for a walk last night, and there were trees across the path to the lake again. It was only a few…maybe three trees that were down. Lots of branches were littered throughout our neighborhood, though.
We weren’t to be deterred. The kids crawled through the branches and we put the wagon over the tree. It was probably weakened from the storms last fall. *sigh* There were a few more trees that were down, too.
At least I got a few cute shots of the kids. 🙂
I’m glad ya’ll are safe, and that your yard didn’t sustain any damage.
Has anyone ever told you that your kids are adorable? 😉
You’ve got some crazy storms in your neck of the woods!
Both kid shots are superb but the one of Anya is especially magical!!!
Wow! That is my favorite picture of Anya yet.
Oh no, another ones bites the dust! So many storms…
Your kids are always adorable and beautiful – but that one of Anya? Breathtaking. Love the tendrils. When did she get so big??
Oh, thanks ladies! I’m pretty happy with that picture of Anya, myself. 🙂
Ugh…more storms coming our way and you can just about chew the air outside. I have a feeling we will be going to the basement tonight. 🙁
The shot of Anya is beautiful. Look at those eyes. Thats too bad the trees fell down. Seems the south metro gets the brunt of alot of the storms. It wasnt too bad here. Tonights storm was much worse than yesterdays for us. Hope you guys got by ok.
We had some crazy storms last night, too. And they blew in fast.
Wow, you guys have had some year with all of those storms!! Gotta agree..that pic of Anya is awesome!!!
sounds like you all need a break from this weather!
