It has turned decidedly Fall-like in the past week or so. The nights have turned cool and upper 70’s/low 80’s are the norm. There was even frost up North this past week. This was definitely a short, cool summer. A long Fall is looking doubtful at this point, and we really did deserve one. Really, really! Ah well. There is no controlling mother nature…unfortunately.
As for my favorites of the summer, I have posted most of them in the past month. I love, love the shots from last week of the kids, Anya’s tutu shots the week before and the shots of Kai with the sunflare. I don’t think I need to repost them since you’ve all seen them pretty recently. I have been happy with the shots I have been taking lately…it helps when the subjects are so dang photogenic. 🙂 The ones below are amongst my current faves.
I have been shooting in RAW for the past few weeks and it has grown on me. I don’t think it is necessary for every single shot, but when you want to make your favorites even better it is worth the extra work. I shoot RAW + JPG, so I have both if I just want to do minimal processing on snapshots. I will definitely be using RAW for any future photo shoots I do.

Those are AWESOME photos! What treasures they truly are! I’m glad to hear RAW is growing on you. 🙂 It’s always nice to have that safety net for shoots especially. Now… the next thing is 14bit… yikes! I haven’t even thought about those!

Those are great, Stacy. I think that is kind of what I am shooting for when using RAW, too. For ones I know I’m going to get framed or have time to do extensive work on – RAW seems like a better option.

It’s been a long, hot summer here. LOL. I do the same with RAW, using it for “special” photos but not for everyday snapshots.
