Well last weekend we took the kiddos to Valleyfair.  Brian is lucky enough to work for a Company that can afford to rent the whole park out for a day, so it works well for us.  The lines were short and I was able to park fairly close to the front, which is always a natural high!  We weren’t quite sure how the kids would like the rides, though…

Anya pretty much just watched and sucked her thumb while Kai and his little friend Meagan went on the kiddie rides.  Most were just too big for Anya.  Meagan was much more adventurous than Kailan.  Meagan is an old pro at rides…she has been to Disneyworld, the most magical place on Earth.  The thought of taking my kids to Disney makes me break out in a cold sweat…it’s a frightening thought.

Right now Kailan is hit or miss with the rides.  He likes the idea of riding in the little train, but the actual riding part scares him.  He’s got the heart of a lion, that one.  Here’s pictures of our little trooper.

They are a bit far away in this picture, but if you can imagine it….Kailan has a “not-so-happy face”.

Balloon ride

He didn’t hate everything, though.  Planes are pretty darn cool, so he made it through the whole ride with nary a cry.
