In case you hadn’t heard, Congress passed a bill that will go into effect in January the puts small business owners at risk of losing their livelihoods.  It was in response to the toxic Chinese toy recalls last year, but was put together in such a way that it requires onerous, expensive and useless testing for handmade products for children.

As per the usual, Congress screwed up and didn’t take into account the thousands of work at home craftster mom’s and grandparents that are producing non-toxic toys, garments, and all manner of wonderful handmade items.

Write your Congressman/Congresswoman and tell them that they need to fix their screwup.
