It snowed all day yesterday. At times it was coming down so fast it seemed like it was almost raining. This past week was so cold that the urchins did not play outside at all, so we bundled them up and kicked them outside. Anya played with her sled after daddy piled up the snow from the driveway. Kailan made paths through backyard that he had me follow and then he went to throw snow down the slides. Their noses were cold and spirits were high when we came inside and made a wet mess in the mud room. Hot chocolate was in store.
I love the last picture of the trees… how it’s so sharply focused on the tree, but you can still see all the tiny snowflakes coming down!
(yeah, your pictures are the reason I’m noticing more about focus, angle, balance, etc)…
The kids look like they’re enjoying the hot chocolate!
Ahh, looks lovely~
We’d love to have a bit of snow but that only happens if we venture up to the local mountains…we need some snow gear before we decide to do that 😉
Hot cocoa, one of my favorite ways to warm up~
gr8 pic’s (as usual) :o) it started snowing here about noon, and we were suppose to have high winds, the predictions were grim……Rach and I decided to try and get to town early. Bad idea, it took us almost an hour just to get out of Wally world parking lot.. Knew I hated that place for a reason:o) then to Freddie Myers That was as bad or worse, people stocking up for the storm:o( and us P.N.W. people can sure drive in the rain but most of them have NO idea in the snow, we got rear ended in the new Cabella’s lot:o( wasn’t bad but Itty Bit kept saying BIG Bump…We survived the outing but it sure wasn’t as fun and relaxing as your guy’s sounded…. Might try and get Itty Bit out for a quad ride this afternoon. He loves doing donuts and spinning around:o)
Hope you guys continue to have a great Vacation and happy holidays
Keep bringing on the snow pictures! We are trying to take a snow vacation in Jan. just so that we can see snow. Beautiful.
Your trees look like our trees! I’ll take some hot cocoa, thank you…
xo.
The snow was crazy yesterday, I know. It just kept coming down. But thankfully it was in the 20’s, so Keith and Ella went outside for a while too. I took Ella out one day last week to play, but we only lasted an hour…..or should I say, I only lasted an hour! :o) Yup, hot chocolate after playing outside is a staple in our house too.
That sound like more fun then what we had, freezing rain. Today you couldn’t do anything until 1:00 when the temp came up to 38 degrees and the doors on the car defrosted. We opted to bake cookie though!
And I thought I was busy 🙂
You should post a list of some of the most recent Theme Thursdays, that way we don’t duplicate them. I have idea’s but can’t remember if they were already used.
There I go add more to your list, sorry 😉
I am sure that it was cold, but it sure is gorgeous!
sooo pretty! i’m excited to VISIT the snow this week, but also to leave it behind.
although, i do like the hot cocoa benefits!
Oh, it’s so beautiful!!! Although, I must say it’s not a bad deal to enjoy the beauty of your pictures from the relaticve warmth of my non-snowy house. 🙂
Fun times! I’ll bet they appreciated that hot cocoa!
Oh, and could you give some tips on photographing in the snow (because of the brightness). We’ll be going to Big Bear in a couple of weeks. Thanks!
The snow looks gorgeous!
Oh, I hope we get at least one day of snow around here this winter…I love it…I’m so glad you share the pictures so all of us southerners can enjoy it through you!
