Well Kai still has his ear infection.  He cried and cried this afternoon, and was just tugging at his ears.  It is getting better, but I think that going outside in the wind was what set this afternoon’s crying off.   Wednesday is his 6 months appointment, so the doctor can look at them again – hopefully they will be getting better. Our backyard has been a lake lately with all the rain, and we have been visited by a Mallard couple.  They think our “pond” in the backyard and ready supply of food from the birdfeeder are all a pretty good deal.  We just hope they don’t intend to build their nest in the backyard – they are a little far from water for their babies.
