Edited to add: The second picture is (probably) definitely from the 20’s. It was taken by a chain photographer on the West Coast that only had one studio remaining by his death in 1930. Mystery solved. 😉
Christina, I am scanning them in. The second has a heavy texture on it, so it didn’t scan as well. It looks much better in person, but I think it turned out fine. It’s not like I’m going to reprint it from the scan since I have the original.
I would have certainly pegged the second one for the 20s. It’s all about the hat in that picture. The first one would have been a little tougher. If the bride was standing it would have been easier to figure out. 🙂
You know what’s so great about these pictures??? The timelessness of the first one. Forget the clothes and hairstyles that date them – but the emotion… such a special day!
That second one… she just looks so classy and FUN! Like she’s ready to get up off the bench and go dancing.
We’re Campbells too 🙂 Wouldn’t it be wild if we were related from way back? Would explain some Irish independent streaks, eh? 🙂
These are so cool! They look older than the 20s to me in style, but those outfits really do look 20s…
How amazing. I love older photos! I am with Jaimee… The style of photography looks older… but the outfits… wow!
Elegant and so lovely!
Incredible! I love these so much. Are you photographing or scanning these? I love how much texture detail you’ve captured.

Relatives or just random vintage photos? They knew how to pose way back when.
Oh yeah…. definitely holds that 1920’s look.
The shoes, the hat…even the way that her veil is placed, it looks like the style of hat from that era.
How beautiful… where did you find these?? What treasures!
These are relatives. 🙂
Fabulous!!
The second one takes my breath away…and that they are relatives, too cool 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous. Don’t you just love their style and elegance? Are they family?

How spectacular. I dont know why, but I am drawn to her beautiful pose with her legs and shoes in the second shot. Her stare goes right through me.

Do tell, is that pretty thing in the second picture holding a ball mask? I can’t tell, but I can imagine it to be one?
I LOVE old photographs…those are really cool…
