Well, no beer for me this St. Patrick’s Day!  It has been awhile since I have made an update, so here it goes… Kai has been doing fairly well.  He missed a few days at daycare this month due to a cold that gave him a low fever.  He has also had a few bumps and bruises this month.  He is trying to go too fast I think and his little feet just can’t keep up so he’s had a few falls.  With the new baby coming we needed to move Kai out of the nursery, so right now he is all moved in to his new room.  Mom and Dad painted it up the first weekend in March while he took a weekend visit to his aunt and uncle’s house.  Mom didn’t notice, but apparently she picked the team colors of the UW-Eau Claire Bluegolds (the colors are blue…and gold).  Still…it looks very nice and he now has a ton of space for us to fill up with toys! Anya’s room is still in process.  Mom is really itching to go buy some furniture to fill it up, but she will wait.  There’s still a bit of sewing to be done, but that shouldn’t take too much time.  Her room will be ready for her in plenty of time.  Mom is very ready for her to be here.  Funny…pregnancy didn’t seem that hard last time, but it is sure doing a number on me this time.  I’m super tired and every step I take gives me a shooting pain.  I also have a hard time sleeping at night as my hips hurt me so much.  Apparently it gets worse with each pregnancy – good thing we are only planning on two! We had a nice visit with both sides of the family this month.  Brian’s side of the family (including Kai’s cousin, the college student and aspiring actress, Heather) came to visit us early in the month and he had so much fun playing with his cousins (they have way more energy than mom and dad!).  Then last weekend we went to Eau Claire for Great-grandma Mattson’s 80th birthday and had a nice lunch/dinner at Timberlodge.  Kai was trying to keep us all entertained the whole time.

Here is a picture of Kai with his great-grandma:
