Last week on Tuesday, April 12, I had another ultrasound to confirm that she was still a “she”…and I saw her goods!  So it looks like we are having a girl for sure (let the shopping commence!).  I had the ultrasound performed at a local university (St. Katherine’s) that offers free ultrasounds as a part of their training program.  The ultrasound student was all around that area.  There were no boy parts sticking out and then a little later we got a good shot of the hamburger bun.  It was pretty interesting having a student/teacher perform the ultrasound as the teacher was explaining things to her most of the time.  She is in head down position and near the end she finally turned her head and we saw her cute little face.  She also has some hair on her head right now, too.

One part that I am a little worried about is that they are estimating her weight at 6 lbs 9 oz…with 6 weeks left to go!  She’s measuring a week ahead.  I’m hoping that it’s just that she is tall like her brother and she won’t be a 9.5 lb baby at birth.  I spoke to my doctor about it on Wednesday and he was pretty open to possibly inducing me early.  I want her to be the right size and have enough time to “cook” but I just don’t think my hips are made to birth a 9.5 lb baby!

We are now finally looking at buying her some furniture, but I’m having a super tough time deciding on what to get.  It’s hard since I want to get it as soon as possible, but I think she just won’t have any furniture for a bit.  I am in the process of washing up all her clothes and I still need to get some stuff done for the nursery, but all in all we are pretty prepared for when she comes.
