Ah, the end of another weekend that went by way too fast. The rundown:
** Saturday was the last day of rookie camp, and Kai was very happy to receive his super duper medal that they gave to all the kids. They even got seranaded with “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” by a real pro-baseball player. I couldn’t tell you who he was, but some people there did and they were very excited.
Yes, there is nothing like watching your son skip through the bases. 😉
** We spent pretty much the rest of the weekend doing more landscaping. Planting, weeding, planting, weeding and moving some stones around. Eventually in about 10 years we may actually have a finished backyard. At least now it seems like we are making some headway. Before we would stick one plant in the ground and have room for about 40 more. Now we actually seem to be filling areas up.
** We had our first fire in the backyard this weekend, too. Smores were, of course, on the agenda.
** Oh yes, and Happy Father’s Day to my guy and my Dad. Brian spent it landscaping and helping a friend move…not exactly a restful day, unfortunately.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Yup they go by way to fast…
and is that a micro brew in your hubby’s hand???? kinda looks like a Fat tire???
Have a great week…
Yes, it is a micro brew; specifically a Fat Tire Skinny Dip. I still think my favorite Fat Tire is the 1554. The baseball player who sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” was Joe Nathan.
I totally know what you mean about having areas to fill up. There are so many blanks to fill in in our yard and I can’t wait until it’s cluttered with more plants!!
Nice fire!
LOve the shot with the statue. And love your ‘fire’, ‘brazier’ what do you call it? My Bestie and her Beloved love the outdoor fire thing and they have killed many a patch of lawn because their brazier is not as well designed as yours!
your fire looks very inviting !!
Landscaping is such hard work, but so rewarding. I bet your yard looks amazing!!
Lovely red lilies. Kai looks so happy skipping through the bases. He must be proud of himself too.
I LOVE that picture of Brian and Kailan – Kai’s face looking at his Daddy with awe – sooo sweet! Looks like your yard is gorgeous already!
