Well, we are back! We went away to visit friends on a 800 some odd mile car trip. We had a good time and the kids didn’t go too insane in the car over all that time. Honestly, I was surprised they did so well. We split the trip there and back into two legs, so they didn’t have one solid stretch. At the end of the “in between” days, we stayed at hotels with pools so they had a chance to get some energy out.
It was a great time visiting with our friends. They have a beautiful new house in a really neat area of Cincinnati. For hosting us, we got their kids a few new gifts, Steve got 2 cases of his favorite beer that he can’t find there, and I made Kelly an apron. They took us to the aquarium, the zoo and lined up a sitter for the kids for Saturday night so we could all go out for an adult dinner. It was great time!
Now back to reality. Some circuits in our house are not working. For some reason. The energy guys came and checked it out, and it isn’t on their end. It’s in the house that they aren’t working, and we aren’t sure when it happened. I also got a bug bite while we were there, and it appears to be infected and hurts like h#ll. Tomorrow will be calling an electrician and going to urgent care. Should be fun. *sigh*
Returning from vacations is horrible. I think there needs to be an inbetween time. What could we call it?
Vacation Debriefing?

What lovely scenery! Where are the first two shots taken? I think I recognize that territory, but I know our country is full of beautiful places and spaces–although I am very partial to the river valley in which I grew up.
