Start ’em young!
ETA: I forgot to put on here earlier that I made those pants for baby girl about a year ago and she’s just fitting in them now. Apparently when I made them she was not eating food or feeding herself. WHITE…What was I thinking?? I spent way too much time telling her to be careful when she was eating…then she played with some colorful playdough. Well…they used to be white anyways. 😉
lol–my boys LOVE a cell phone. They have old ones that they carry around constantly.
These are great photos. The colors are just wonderful. I’m more than a little jealous–I can’t get mine to look like that no matter how hard I try!
Phones do seem to be pretty fascinating for our little ones, don’t they?? Thanks Alissa, really appreciate the compliments!
What camera do you have? I know that Nikons are supposed to have better color than Canons, so maybe that is why my color is different from yours. I didn’t do much processing with these at all, so that is pretty much the color from my camera.
Just this morning we gave Eli, sandwiched between us, the cell phone to occupy him while we snoozed for another few precious minutes. It is a sure distraction!
Ijust love the light in the first one!!
stacey –
i love the light, too…is is just a really great natural light source or do you use a flash, too?
love the nikon…i am usually really happy with my color.
Thanks for the compliments ladies! 🙂
Carrie, I try not to use flash when I can, so this is just setting my camera settings to allow for more light. The room was well lit from the mid-day sun, too.
I always love your photos. I must work harder at my photography skills…thanks for the inspiration
And she is adorable with or without a phone!
Alissa, I think my hubby would frown on me putting my son in pink, too. 🙂 It could be the camera, with Nikons having more vibrant color (Canons having less noise at higher ISO’s…which one to choose??).
Melody and Amy, thank you so much for the kind comments. 🙂
I have a Canon Rebel XT–that may be it. Also, my boys don’t wear much pink… 🙂
very sweet. love that first one especially. your daughter is beautiful!
As always, fantastic shots. Looks like you have light carpets, so what’s a little white pant thrown in there, too? 😉
Thank you Karianna! Yeah, those cream carpets aren’t ALL cream anymore. When we bought the house they just put in cream carpet and they had 3 little ones…don’t know what they were thinking?? They did enough damage by the time we moved in and now our kids aren’t being kind to them either.
Very cute! Stacey, thank you for your advice on cameras. I ended up going with the Canon Rebel XT and a 50mm 2.5 compact macro lens. I got a pretty good deal on Amazon. It’ll be arriving in a couple of days! I’m so excited. And as for the color issues you were talking about, I am pretty handy with Photoshop so I figure I can just bump up the color if need be.
Thanks Paige! Another thing you can do with your camera is an internal camera setting. I can’t remember what it is under in the menu for my Nikon (just check your manual), but it for setting the color to “Vivid”. I do that occassionally and it gives you a lot of color pop.
How can you make a photo of a cell phone look like a fairy tale?? These are gorgeous!
What a sweet comment…Thanks Tracey!
