Well, Anya is STILL sick.  I keep on hoping that she will magically get better, but the get better faeries are not showing up to cure our ‘lil one.  They are probably sick, too…one too many visits to our children this winter have laid them up.

Anya and Kai visited Grandma and Grandpa Campbell’s this past weekend, so that mommy and daddy could go drinkin’.  We had a wine tasting party at a friend’s house, in addition to just wanting to get some SLEEP.  We can fondly remember the kidless days through the haze of our sleep deprivation.  It seems we could actually sleep in past 6:30 am.  Of course back then, sleeping in entailed getting up at noon.  Now if we sleep in, it is more like 9:00 am.  Oh, how your perspectives change with children.

I found this list on the web and thought “How do they know our Kailan?”

Laws of Toddlerhood:

1. If I like it, it’s mine.
2. If it’s in my hand, it’s mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it’s mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine.
5. If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If I’m doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it looks just like mine, it’s mine.
8. If I think it’s mine, it’s mine.

I need to add another rule…

9.  If it belongs to Anya, it’s mine, but nothing of mine can be played with by Anya unless I graciously allow her the use of my toys.  I am a wonderful big brother, didn’t you know?
