Another busy weekend! Friday night we had a friend over, and didn’t get to bed until 2 am-ish. Saturday morning was supposed to be dance, but none of us got up in time for the 8:30 start, but I did get up in time for a friend to stop by with her daughter so I can help her fit her dance outfits. Amazing how much they charge for these dance outfits and leave them unfinished.
We had a BBQ at a neighbor’s house in the afternoon and then we had a sitter for dinner. Today is our 12th anniversary, so we went out for a nice dinner. I was hoping for a movie, but I was so tired that we went home afterwards and I fell asleep shortly thereafter. Tonight I’m going to grill some yummy steaks and we are going to open up a Bordeaux that Brian picked up last week.
This morning was the last day of Sunday school, so we delivered some gifts to the teachers (not handmade, though…I ran out of time!), and the kids got to sing in the sanctuary at the end of Mass. Then we headed to the zoo and met Joanna and Ella. The girls became fast friends right away. 🙂
Doesn’t it look like those top teeth are going to pop out anytime now??
The girls were pounding on the glass to try to wake up the sleeping lion…as you can see, Ella actually stopped and paid attention. 😉
Anya had blue teeth from cotton candy that Kai and her shared. Ella opted for a twisty pop. 🙂
Brian got this picture of us…this is the only one were Ella’s mouth wasn’t wide open and licking her twisty pop. 😉
It was great to meet you and Ella, Joanna! 🙂
You got some good shots of the kids! I was so bummed that I didnt bring my 50mm along. The zoom was hard on getting light in. Although I havent gone through the the shots yet, I didnt take that many so I am not expecting too much. I love how Anya and Ella hit it off and were frolicking around together. Look at the picture of the two of them sitting on the bench! That is so cute. I should have told Ella to put her lolipop down during the picture. I couldnt figure out why Brian kept looking at the shots, smiling and then shooting again. Good job Brian! Im glad we got the one of all of us together….With the exception that at 8 months pregnant I feel like a linebacker. :0P It was so nice to meet you guys too. Ella and I had a really nice time!
I love seeing blog friends meet!! 🙂 SO cool! 🙂 Glad you had fun!
SO fantastic that you two got to meet!! Wouldn’t that be so cool if Ella and Anya got to be lifelong friends?
sounds like lots of fun stuff going on this weekend, but I bet you can guess what my favorite bit is? Yep, that you and Jo and the kids got to meet up! How fun (I am a tiny bit jealous, too!). I love it how girls that age become best buds almost instantly. The two of them with arms wrapped around each other is so cute. Great to see all of you together – good job Brian! And golly yes, Kai’s teeth look SO ready to pop thru!
Love the photos, the last one of all of you is my favorite. I also love the one of Kai and his teeth, they definitely look like they are ready to pop on through.
Oh, how fun. It is cool to see blog friends meet in person. I love that Ella and Anya hit it off. That last photo is wonderful- all smiles.
So great that you two got to meet in person! What fun!
That’s too cool. I didn’t realize Joanna lived so close to you guys 🙂 What an excellent trip to the zoo and the girls do look thrilled. It’s hard to believe school is almost over for us too. Preschool ends this Friday and then the daughter is done on the 27th and it’s officially summer.
