Just in case you were wondering what one would look like…here ya go!
The pond was freezing over on Saturday, so Brian went out and put them in the only tank-like thing we had. A tub we use for landscaping. While it may look dirty…and it is…it is no worse than the pond they were living in. We did have to go get a water pump since the 15 of them were gasping for air this morning.
We are getting a tank from Brian’s sister on Thursday, so we will move a few of them into the tank. The rest will have to find a new home in the lake, most likely.
Surprisingly, the cat has not gone fishing. Most especially, since they are living in the same room as her cat food and litter box. She must not want to get wet. 😉
Genius! 🙂
Those fishys (and you guys) are thinking Thursday can’t come fast enough! Kitty will probably just wait for the fish to leap for freedom, and then she will have a delicious little appetizer–lol 🙂
This is great! And much better than an old keg or a toilet bowl.
Now that is some real down home Redneck ingenuity…..LOL
Sensational option :-D………..and a great learning experience!
I am sure they appreciate the warmth.
Phew! I was so worried about those fish 😉
Sad that some must go to the lake however. How will you recognise them in spring? You will never see them again! waaaaaaaaaaaah
It’s like that Stephen Spielberg movie AI….it’s like HANSEL AND GRETEL!!!!!!!!
