Here I am again…not getting anything off my to-do list.

Today Anya is going to a birthday party of another little girlfriend at school.  She wanted me to make another dress and again picked out the main fabric for it.  I really like how this one turned out.  It is a faux cross over top, that shiny blue fabric in the middle and an A-line skirt on the dress.  Then I ruffled some of the blue up, placed it on the skirt and zig-zagged it on.  The bottom hem is just a simple rolled hem on the serger.

Anya thinks it is very pretty, too. I’m surprised she wants to give it away. 😉  I bought some tights, a ribbon/pearl necklace and headbands to match.  She’ll look all fancy!

The mom of this little one is going through breast cancer treatment currently.  I tell you, it is scary how many women get it these days.  We know of two other ladies around our age that have it right now, too.

Next up, are some props for taking pictures of a newborn girl.  I was supposed to have a photo shoot for her on Sunday, but came down with a cold and nasty crap going into my lungs.  I didn’t want to risk the baby getting sick, so we had to put it off.  These went unused for the time being.  I’ll make sure I wash them all up good before taking pictures of the baby, hopefully this weekend sometime.

This was my first attempt at a rag quilt and it was pretty easy.  Good thing since I am not a quilter!  They are not exactly exact in all the edges meeting in the right spots, but it is good enough for my purposes.  These are smallish quilts, so Anya will get them to play with for her dolls when I am done with them.  The hat will go into the hat bin.

Cute little baby hat, of course!  I used up the rest of the chenille yarn that I had from the hat for my cousin’s little girl.  I didn’t have enough left for a pompom at the top, so I just cut the remaining yarn about 8 inches long, put them halfway through in the top, tied them in the middle and let them go down the side in little streamers.  It is hard to see here, but the effect is really cute!

Well, I better get to sewing up the chair folder pockets.  Let the fun begin!  My goal is to get them done by the end of the holiday weekend, gosh darnit!  I have them all cut out and have started on the assembly-line construction of them.  I’m getting closer!
