Since some of you asked to see more pictures and perhaps Todd and Kevin are checking in, I will post some more from their ceremony. This is the first time that I have ever taken on a large event and it was a bit scary to me. I hope that I was able to capture their day well. There were some things that I should have taken pictures of that I thought after the fact, “dang, I missed it!”. It was my first time, though, so I guess I can cut myself a little slack. They were well aware that I was a novice at this!
Processing images from a large event is pretty time consuming, though. I know why good wedding photographers charge so much! I spent a lot of time yesterday processing pictures and I only did specific ones that I thought were the best of the bunch. There are a lot of unprocessed images, but they are mostly just candid shots that are more “album stuffers”. Good for the memories, but don’t require processing. Anyways, here are some of the shots that I like. I have plenty more, but I think this should suffice!
Stacy! The photos are absolutely gorgeous. Looks like the work of a pro. Oh yeah, you are a pro…you just don’t claim the title.
The composition and lighting of each is spot on. I honestly can’t choose a favorite because they each attract my attention in a different way.
Congratulations on a very successful first big gig. 🙂
These photos are fabulous! Great job! That ring shot at the end is so cool.
Your pictures are just as beautiful as I expected them to be. Melody is right – you are a pro, whether or not you claim the title. I love #1, #2 and the last one most of all, but they are all terrific…both technically and for the feeling they evoke.
I’d say your first “big gig” was a success!
These are *so* lovely. I especially like the OOF one of the ceremony from afar. It’s dreamlike.
Thank you all for the compliments…it makes me feel really good that others appreciate my photography…and think I’m good!!
Yep. It is time to call it, Stacy. Hang a sign out – you can charge (a lot!) and quit your day job.
They are gorgeous photos! And Congrats to Todd & Kevin, too!
I agree with all of the above, Stacy, you are ready for business if you want it.
Will you share your technique for the last ring shot? So elegant, and I can’t figure out what you did!
Carrie and Anna, thanks for thinking I am good enough to go into business!
Anna, the last shot was taken on their grand piano in a reflection of the window. It made it look like high key. All I did was up the contrast a bit and that was it!
